Gite Armelle in Oger: The Côte des Blancs
Discovering the Marne
Tourism in Champagne
Come discover the Marne, and more specifically the Côte des Blancs…
“The Côte des Blancs, cradle of Chardonnay: its villages, with famous names, are built in an amphitheater on the slopes of the hills.
From Epernay to Vertus, the Côte des Blancs, oriented north-south, stretches along the edge of the Brie plateau. Your journey will begin in Epernay by climbing the famous Avenue de Champagne, where the most prestigious names follow one another. By passing around Mont Bernon via Chouilly, you will descend towards Pierry (with its château, cellars, and 18th-century caves) to discover the church of Chavot-Courcourt (12th century), the only island amidst an ocean of vineyards.”
